Show Up Like It's Your Town: Congratulations, Vice Mayor Diana Fahmie
Diana Fahmie, a Keyes Company agent and HTC client, was elected to the Dania Beach City Commission and will serve as Vice Mayor. Here's to a powerhouse.

FROM THE H.O.M.E. DESK · Michelle Martinez
The votes came in Tuesday night.
Six candidates. Two seats on the Dania Beach City Commission. In Dania Beach, the top vote-getter becomes mayor and the runner-up becomes vice mayor.
And with nearly every vote counted, Diana Fahmie finished second.
So yes. Our Diana is about to be Vice Mayor Diana Fahmie.
I'm still smiling.
A powerhouse, on paper and in person
If you've worked a file with Diana, you already know.
She's a South Florida native and an agent with The Keyes Company, with nearly two decades in real estate. She mentors the agents on her team. Her clients range from first-time buyers to out-of-town relocations.
Then she goes home and helps her husband, Chris, run My Flower Stand, their family-owned florist in Hollywood.
And somewhere in there, she ran a citywide campaign.
As I write this, we're working two of her files. During election week. That tells you everything.
What I've noticed about agents like Diana
I've been in this business since 1995, and I've worked with a lot of agents. The ones who build something lasting have one thing in common.
They show up for their town the way they show up for their clients.
They're at the meetings. They know the neighbors by name. They know which streets flood and which ones don't. They care about the place, not just the transaction.
That's not a marketing strategy. It's who they are.
And it's exactly why clients trust them with the biggest purchase of their lives. A buyer can tell when an agent actually loves the community they're selling.
Show up like it's your town, because it is. That's Diana.
What it means to be the structure behind someone like her
Here's the part I'm most proud of.
When an agent takes on something this big, the business can't stop. Buyers still need to close. Sellers still need answers. Deadlines don't care that it's election week.
That's where we come in. We keep the dates, the documents and the people on track behind her, so she can be fully present for her clients and her city. She still leads every conversation. We just make sure nothing falls through the cracks while she does.
I've always said I want our clients to be able to depend on us without being dependent on us. Diana is the picture of that. She knows her business inside and out. She just doesn't have to carry every piece of it alone.
To Diana
Congratulations, Vice Mayor. (I'm going to enjoy saying that - lol.)
Dania Beach is lucky to have you. So are your clients, your team and, honestly, all of us at HTC.

Here's to what's next, Diana.
